The CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card is a card given by the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in the UK. It’s for highly skilled workers who have advanced training and experience in their craft. This card shows that the worker has the skills, knowledge, and training to do complex tasks safely and effectively on a construction site.
How to Apply:
Complete the CITB HS&E Test: Schedule and pass the appropriate Health, Safety, and Environment test along with an NVQ/SVQ Level 3.
Submit an Application: Complete the CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card application form, which can be done online or over the phone on 02081332576 and provide the necessary documents.
Pay the Fee: There is a fee for processing the application, which can be paid online.
All the CSCS Cards having Industry Accrediation qualification listed on the back will no longer be valid after 31/12/2024 and will not be renewed from 01/07/2024. Therefore, going forward the easiest to demonstrate competence to obtain a new CSCS Card is via an NVQ.
If you find that your CSCS card is about to expire you must start taking step to renew the card by taking a valid and relevant CITB Test and then applying for the renewal of the CSCS Gold Card at least 6 months before the card expiry date.
You cannot renew your CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card. However, if you have a City & Guilds Craft or Advanced Craft certificate, you can apply for a Gold Skilled Worker CSCS card, depending on your certificate type. If not, you will need to complete the NVQ Level 2 qualification to get a new CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card. You can replace your CSCS Advanced Craft Card by completing a new NVQ/SVQ (National/Scottish Vocational Qualification). This will allow you to get a new CSCS Gold Advanced Craft Card for the occupation you want. Alternatively, you have two other options:
CSCS Green Labourer Card: This is the most popular card in the construction industry. It allows you to work on-site and covers basic trades. The card is valid for 5 years.
CSCS Red Provisional Card: This card allows you to work on a construction site for 6 months. To qualify, you need to have taken the CITB HS&E test within the last two years.

It is an Electronic copy of your qualification certificate.
Generally the electrolnic copy of your certificate is not necessary. However, it is mandatory to provide certificate for those people who have completed their NVQ qualification from City & Guilds after 2012. The norms have been changed now and the E-Certificate is mandatory for applying a CSCS Card for verification purpose.
